I do love my friends.

So it was my birthday on Wednesday and I'm now 16! I didn't do much during the day but I went out with the family in the afternoon for my tea and it was nice. I was invited to my mates yesterday with the other 4 girls that I consider my closest friends. However, when I woke up today, I didn’t exactly feel my best. So I left it until 2 when I texted one of them saying that I didn’t think I was going to come. I got a text back saying how that I had to come because they wanted me there and I was like hmm, I don’t think I’m going to. Then I got another text saying that I needed to because there was going to be a surprise so I was like okay, I’m going to have to come now! So I said I would come for about 6 instead of the planned time of 5. Anyway, by the time I was all ready, it was just past 5 so I texted saying I was coming over. So I got there and one of them opened the door and she looked kind of surprised and flustered and then started laughing so I was like what’s the matter? When he dad said “Just tell her Jessica.” so I was like what the hell. Then I saw two of them pop round the kitchen door and I was like okay I’m scared. She took me upstairs and told me to put what I wanted on TV and they’d be about 10 minutes. 10 minutes later they come upstairs with a fair few presents and I was like aww what is this because I genuinely didn’t expect presents. They gave me a card first and when I opened it, it had Yoda on it and when I opened it it something like “Older you are, yes. The force is strong with you” so I was like ah! Then the first present was Cinderella, because I love Disney and they know I’m collecting the classics, the next was this gorgeous little tea pot with a cup and plate set because everyone knows how much I love tea so it was like a little joke and then the last thing was this massive, flat present so I was like oh God what’s this. It turned out to be this huge, amazing 3D cardboard poster thing of The Beatles Abbey Road album cover. It’s fair to say I was over the bloody moon that they had got me everything to do with what I love. Anyway, then Hannah came and she got me a tenner in her card so I was also pleased about that. About 15 minutes later they ended up popping downstairs a couple of times, leaving me upstairs by myself. At the time I wasn’t any of the wiser until Hannah came upstairs for a bit. She then said something about seeing what they were doing and I said I’d come too when she said “Ah, doesn’t matter.” and sat back down so I was like what… The five minutes later they came in with this big homemade birthday cake awww! It tasted so nice too. They even put my favourite Beatles song on whilst doing so. I’m just over the moon though because, even though it might not be so big to other people, but this is probably the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for me. Like, I’ve been one of the people doing these things for others, but never for me. I’m so happy. :’) I just now need to find a space for this blinking poster because it’s pretty big haha!
