I went to go get my results at 10 this morning. The first thing I saw when I opened the envelope was a load of U’s so it’s understandable that I was like WHAT. However, it wasn’t my actual grade thank God. Anyway, I ended up with a C in I-Citizen, a C in french, a merit in Performing Arts, a pass in science, a pass in art and a C in maths which I’ve known about since January. To my surprise, I also ended up with an overall B in English. I didn’t expect to get that at all because in one of the exams I wrote about the wrong thing so I was like oh great, I’m done for. I’m also not the best at English, even though I’m in top set, so to get a b I was chuffed. Another lesson I was bloody ecstatic with was history. In year 10 I didn’t listen and I got a D in the first exam. However, because I got a B in my controlled assessment I was brought up to a C. I planned on taking it at A level too but because it said I needed a B, I wouldn’t be able to take it. My teacher told me that if I stuck in really hard and ended up with a C then she could get me in, so I fucking worked my arse off for the rest of year 11. To get a C overall I had to get a low C and to get a B overall I had to get an A in the exam. Now, I’ve never gotten an A before in my life so I was adamant I was going to get a C. However, when I looked at the sheet, turns out I got a mother fucking A! I was in shock when my teacher came up to me and told me that I was a couple of marks off an A* as well! I honestly couldn’t believe it. I was over the moon. I’m still really pleased that I got a B over all, and that means that I can get into all the subjects I’ve taken for A level. I am slightly gutted that I was close to getting an A overall, but knowing I was so close to it is good enough for me when I’m so happy with what I’ve anyway. I’m dead chuffed and I’m really pleased for all my mates too because everyone did so well! Aww.
