30 Things Challenge - 6: What is the hardest thing you have ever experienced?

Fortunately for me, there isn't an awful lot of bad things that have happened to me in my life time (touch wood) and especially not terrible things, so I don't want people to think that I am whinging about things that aren't relevant, because of course I realise that a lot more horrible things have happened to people than they have to me, and I am very grateful for that. However, I'd probably say that the two hardest things for me have been my diabetes and moving up North in 2006. I was diagnosed with diabetes back in 2004 and that's obviously been the longest lasting thing because it'll never go away. It's still very hard for me now to deal with, but I get by. It was just adapting to the disease at such a young age and feeling like no one understood. Moving up North to Newcastle was hard for me too because it resulted to me being bullied at my new school, which hit me very hard. For almost a year I had no friends and I was picked on and I just didn't understand why because I'd just came from a very small school where I knew everyone's names and I was popular. Even though it was hard for me and it really knocked my confidence, I know that I would be different to how I am today and I like how I am so in a way it was worth it!
