1. My family and friends.
By family, that includes my dogs too. And when I say friends, I mean my main 5 girls. When I'm with them, I feel like I can completely be myself. I don't feel like they judge me. I'm dreading it when my best friend moves away to Florida in next June because I'm going to be so devastated.
2. Music.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved music. From being about 7 and dancing around the living room to Elvis Presley and ABBA, being about 10 and singing my heart out to Girls Aloud's album 'What Will The Neighbour's Say?", being 12 and falling in love with the Jonas Brothers, being 14 and discovering 'screamo' and to being where I am today loving The Beatles, heavy metal and 50's rock and roll. Whenever I get the chance, I'll be listening to music. Even when I was revising for my AS Levels this year, listening to music helped me concentrate. So cliché, but I'd honestly hate a world that didn't have music!
3. History.
I used to absolutely hate history. The only time that history interested me was the Ancient Egyptians when we used to learn about them in primary school. I just remember that all through the rest of primary and through middle school I'd be pretty much falling asleep in my history lessons because I just couldn't hack it. However, when I went into high school and Year 9, we learnt about the Holocaust. This was what sparked my interest in history. I'd never been that interested and emotionally attached to a history topic before, but learning about the Holocaust left me wanting to know more about the horrible subject. After that, I decided to take history on to Year 10. I hated history again in Year 10 because the topics bored me yet again. However, in Year 11 we learnt about the German Depth study and about Hitler's rise to power etc. Once again I was completely drawn into it. At first, I was doing really bad in the lessons because I just didn't listen, so I was getting F's and G's. But I decided that I wanted to do well, so I worked my fucking arse off. I always had my hand up, I actually revised for my exam and I cared. I ended up coming out of the exam with a couple marks off an A* in that exam and a B overall in the subject. I also took history on to A Level because now I know that I want to go to university to do history. I even got to go to Germany and Poland on a history trip for a week which was incredible. The AS course was split into two different topics; Tudors and the Vietnam War. Obviously the topics were extremely different. I hated the Tudors, but LOVED the USA and Vietnam War. I was fucking class in that lesson. I'd always get A's and A*s in my essays. However, I don't think I've done well in my exam (I don't find the results until August) because I just couldn't concentrate and for some reason I was getting myself so worked up because I knew that I was capable of getting an A*, so that sucked. Anyway, now we've started Irish history and next week I'll start Russian history (which I can't wait for). I've already decided that at Uni I want to do a course on Archaeology/Ancient history. I honestly can't wait.
4. Travelling.
Luckily I have amazing parents who could afford to take me and my sister to Florida on numerous occasions, and could afford for me to go on a few school trips abroad (Norway, France, Germany and Poland). However, now we aren't so lucky with money and can only afford to travel the country in our caravan. Nevertheless, my love for travelling still ceases to exit. Even though we aren't travelling to an exotic country, I still get the same thrill when we are in a different part of Great Britain that I've never been in before. For example, this summer we went to York for the first time and I fell in love with the place because of it's architecture and history. I strongly believe that people should see as much as the country that they live in as possible. British people slate Britain so much, but it really is a beautiful country when you open your eyes. However, I extremely adamant and passionate about is seeing as many countries across this amazing world as possible when I finally get the money. It's just something about being around different cultures and history and taking as many pictures as possible that I thrive off.
5. I honestly can't think of something else that I am very passionate about that makes me happy at the moment that I can write about in that much depth, so here are a list of other small things that make me happy:
Cups of tea, animals, TV and film (Disney, Marvel, The Big Bang Theory, Friends, Dumb and Dumber, Lost, Star Wars, Merlin, Jackass, Harry Potter and most American sitcoms to name a few), home decor, performing, helping people/animals in some way, religion, photography, science, reading, making people laugh, taking nice scenic walks, singing, fashion and spending money in general.
I just came across your blog, and I love it! Hope we can follow each other on blogger and on bloglovin!
